Who you are agreeing with

Ribbyn is owned and operated by Slice of Media, Inc.

Where these terms say "Ribbyn" or "we", they mean Slice of Media, Inc., and every agreement made through this site, including a sponsorship, is with that company.

What Ribbyn is

Ribbyn is a network of recognition programs: awards, rankings and lists created by verified publishers. Each program publishes who decided, how, and what period was evaluated.

Ribbyn hosts and attributes recognition. It does not decide it.

Reading and following

Public pages are free to read without an account. An account lets you follow programs, publishers and profiles, claim a profile, and sponsor.

You are responsible for the email address on your account. Sign-in links are personal and expire.

Publishing

Publishers are verified by Ribbyn before their programs go public. Programs are reviewed once for their method, not their picks. Publishers own their editorial decisions and are responsible for their accuracy.

A program's published method is a promise to its readers. Results that break the published method may be removed.

Recognition cannot be bought

Sponsorship never changes who is recognized, ranked or listed. A sponsor cannot see, shape or purchase a placement. An organization eligible to compete in a program cannot sponsor that program's edition.

Any attempt to trade money or favors for recognition ends the relationship with Ribbyn.

Profiles and claims

Entity profiles are canonical Ribbyn records. A claimed profile may edit factual details such as its description and website. Recognition history is never edited by the entity it concerns.

Corrections and disputes are reviewed by Ribbyn under the published method of the program in question.

Acceptable use

No scraping at a rate that degrades the service, no vote manipulation, no impersonation, no content that is unlawful or that you do not have the right to publish.

Ribbyn may suspend accounts, publishers or programs that break these terms, with a written reason.

Liability

Ribbyn is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, Slice of Media, Inc. is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the service, and its total liability is limited to the amount you paid Ribbyn in the twelve months before the claim.
